little walker

We have a new walker, Julia decided she is ready to join the upright girls. She is progressing quick. Sunday she started standing from a seated position then taking steps completely on her own. Today she is up to eating, drinking a bottle, and carrying a blanket (though not all at one time) while walking. She is a little on the slow side (compared to her sisters anyway) so sometimes she will still crawl to get somewhere super quick. It is quite the change to see her walking so much, it means she really is getting older. I think it's adorable when she is just in a onesie or diaper walking around with cute chubby legs and a round belly. She was only in the 40th percentile for weight at 12 months but you wouldn't guess by checking out her belly. She is so cute.
Molly has figured out how to climb out of her crib. Last night she made two outings after she was put to bed, today's nap had one, and tonight she never got out. We are going to have to make the crib side down or toddler bed decision or keep the status quo. Seems early but then again, Cassidy was late in this department.
Cassidy is such a little girl. I look at her and see this girl who isn't a baby or toddler anymore. She talks so well, is getting so tall and is picking up thongs that are a little scary. She has noticed the off-the-shoulders dresses and shirts that Disney characters wear and likes to imitate them. Already? Do we really have to address keeping our shirts/straps/sleeves on at 3 1/2 years old? She is a great help and knows where everything is so is capable of doing a lot.

Cupcake Bed

Two girls loving their cupcake bed.

Three bugs on a rug

We I am pleased to say that our house is filled with sisterly love. Sometimes that love "hurts" when they jump on top of each other. Wonder what the next little love-bug will be.

just own it

A friend wrote that recently, so I will. I am going gray, somewhat reluctantly, and quickly. I keep going back and forth, but I don't want to have to touch up my hair every few weeks for the next fifty years. And the costs, no thanks. So here is to the gray. At least it is still there and not getting thinner. Other news, I challenged the bathroom counter to a face off and lost. I ended up with a bloody and possibly broken nose, whiplash, moderately black eyes, and a big ER bill coming. Things are better now but I don't think I will ever forget feeling myself crash into the counter. Joe has been taken out by the stomach flu. We all got it but he really got it. He's been in bed in bad shape since Sunday night. Poor guy. Last news. Lotz #4 is due September 1. Still trying to decipher my feelings about it. On good days, yeah! On rough days, uh oh. It is what is supposed to be but it is still rough. We have been slow in telling people but it is getting around and with the incidence on Monday it is hard not to to mention it. It will be good but it will be rough. A 3- ,2-, 1- year old and a newborn. Yeah. Thank goodness we added on when we did. We will definitely find out gender this time. It will be nice to know.

guub guub

Cassidy can now make Julia laugh most of the time by saying "guub guub". The molly and Julia laugh at each other. :-] this is so much more preferred that their supersonic screams. I don't know how the don't break windows and glass around them. Joe went to the gym for the first time in months. December has finished a few craft project, and is now tackling our taxes.
